FENI: At least four people sustained bullet injuries in a clash between Awami League and BNP supporters over the union parishad (UP) polls at Chhagalnaiya upazila of the district Saturday morning (May 7).

Chhagalnaiya Police Station OC Rashed Khan Chowdhury confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He further said supporters of chairman candidates from ruling Awami League and BNP locked in a clash at Jagannath Sonapur Govt. Primary School center of Subhapur union around 8:45am, leaving four bullet hit.

The injured were taken to Feni Modern Sadar Hospital, he added.

OC Rashed also said they brought the situation under control quickly and voting is currently underway in the center.
