DHAKA: BNP joint secretary general Aslam Chowdhury and his personal secretary Asaduzzaman were placed on 7-day remand each over allegation of the former’s meeting with Israeli spy agency Mossad to conspire against incumbent government.

Metropolitan Magistrate M Sharifuzzaman passed the order on Monday (May 16) rejecting Aslam Chowdhury’s bail plea.

On Sunday (may 15), police arrested the newly appointed BNP joint secretary general Aslam Chowdhury from capital’s Khilkhet area over his meeting with an Israeli agent.
