RANGPUR: Police arrested 43 people including a Jamaat-e-Islami activist in several cases from Rangpur Sadar and Mithapukur upazilas on Thursday (May 26).

District senior assistant superintendent of police (ASP, B circle) M Saifur Rahman told banglanews that the arrestees were sent to jail in the morning.

The Jammat man M Raja Miah, 42, is the son of late Nur Alam of Chuhar village of Mithapukur Thana.

The ASP said the arrestees are facing arrest warrants and chargesheeted in different cases including sabotage and bomb attack.
