ICT issues warrant against 5 from Gaibandha

DHAKA: International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 issued an arrest warrant against five accused from Gaibandha district for their alleged crime against humanity.

The accused are Abdur Jabbar Mandal, M Zafizar Rahman, Abdul Wahed Mandal, Mamtaz Ali Bepari and Azgar Hossain Khan.

Moreover, another accused M Ranju Miah is shown arrested in the case as he is already in jail for another case with Terrorism Prevention Act.

A three-member tribunal, led by Justice Mohammad Anwarul Haque, passed the order on Sunday (May 29) responding to the appeal of prosecutor Rishikesh Saha.

The prosecutor said there are allegations that the six people were involved with mass killing, freedom fighter killing, detention, torture and looting.
