DHAKA: BNP joint secretary general Aslam Chowdhury placed on a fresh 7-day remand under Section 54 in a case over his alleged anti-government activities.
Metropolitan magistrate Golam Nabi passed the order after DB police produced him before the court on Tuesday (May 31) with 10-day remand plea.
Aslam was detained from Kuril area in the capital on May 16 for his alleged conspiracy against Bangladesh with Israeli spy agency Mossad.
He was held within hours of imposition of a travel ban on him.
