Tarique Rahman faces arrest warrant 

DINAJPUR: The district court has issued arrest warrant against BNP senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman over a defamatory remark on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. 

Dinajpur Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Ahsanul Haque issued the order on Wednesday (June 1).

Dinajpur Court Police Abu Sayed Ahmed informed banglanews that Tarique used abusive words on Bangabandhu during a discussion, organized by BNP on December 15, 2014 in London.

District Chhatra League convener Parvez Ahmmed Chowdhury filed a case accusing Tarique of defamation on December 23, 2015.
