NOAKHALI: An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has succumbed to his bullet injuries in Newazpur union in Noakhali sadar upazila on Saturday afternoon (June 4).

Earlier in the morning, the deceased, identified as Arafat, was shot during a clash between the supporters of two UP member candidates at Mohammadia Ibtediya Madrassa poll center.

He was rushed to a local hospital, later, shifted Dhaka for better treatment.

The AL activist succumbed to his injuries on his way to Dhaka this afternoon.

Sudharam Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Anwar Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
