CHAPAINAWABGANJ: A district court on Sunday (June 5) ordered to send district unit BNP president professor M Shahjahan Miah to jail.

Chief judicial magistrate court judge M Shafiqul Islam passed the order in the afternoon.

Court sources said he was accused in three cases for his alleged involvement in a clash in Kansat area on January 5, 2015 where a BNP activist Jamshed Ali was killed by joint force’s gunshot.

M Shahjahan got bail in a case but denied in two other cases, the source added.
