DHAKA: Incumbent finance minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith on Sunday expressed his unwillingness to participate in the next national elections, scheduled to be held in 2019.

‘I want to stay in politics till 2019 and the ongoing 10th parliament will end my political life.’

The finance minister made the assertion while talking to the media after a meeting with project officers in Sylhet division in the afternoon.

Earlier, he told the media that he hoped to place the last budget of incumbent government in 2019 with an amount of Tk 500,000-crore.
