DHAKA: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir commented that people will have to bear the load of additional taxes to meet the revenue target of this year’s proposed budget.

He made this remark while upholding BNP’s post-budget reaction at the party chairperson’s political office in city’s Gulshan area on Wednesday (June 8).

The BNP leader also criticized different aspects of the proposed budget placed by finance minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith.

He also suggested the finance minister to pay heed to the opposition voice.

Earlier on Thursday (June 2), the budget of 2016-17 FY with Tk 340,605-crore was placed at the parliament.
