DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia said the ruling government led by Awami League (AL) will create unrest in Bangladesh by rising militancy.
She made the allegation while addressing an iftar mahfil in city’s International Convention City, Bashundhara (ICCB) organized by Association of Engineers, Bangladesh (AEB) on Tuesday (June 14).
According to BNP chief, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is spreading the message to foreign counterparts that incumbent government has taken several steps to curb militancy in the country, but the government will not prevent it rather spread across the country.
BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and standing committee members Dr Abdul Moin Khan and Lieutenant general (retd) Mahbubur Rahman, among others, were present.
