21 militants held in day-5 crackdown

DHAKA: Law enforcers arrested 21 members of banned extremist parties, on the fifth day of ongoing countrywide special drives to prevent terrorism.

Police headquarters public relations officer Qamrul Ahsan confirmed the matter to banglanews on Wednesday (June 15).

Among the arrestees, there are 17 Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) men, two Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) men, a Hizb ut-Tahrir member and a Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami man.
