BANDARBAN: Miscreants hacked local Awami League president in Naikkhnchhari Upazila of the district on Thursday (June 30) night.

The deceased was identified as Mongshoinu Marma, 56, president of Baishari union Awami League.

Quoting locals, police said, unidentified assailants attacked on Mongshoinu when he was returning home, leaving him hacked dead on the spot.

Baishari Police Outpost In-Charge Anisur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews adding, on information police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
