CAPAINAWABGANJ: District Detective Branch (DB) of Police detained two Jamaat-ul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) members from Sundarpur Baghdanga village of the district on Monday (July 11).

The detainees were identified as Abul Kashem alias Tariqul and Saifuddin alias Saiful Islam or Jamal or Sabbir.

DB officer-in-charge (OC) Hamidur Rashid confirmed the matter to banglanews around 4:30pm.

He said, the law enforcers conducted a drive early morning after being tipped off that 30-35 JMB members were conducting a secret meeting at a house in the area.

Sensing the presence of the law enforcers, all but two fled the spot.

However, the law enforcers also recovered 20 cocktails from the house.

Police are interrogating the arrestees, the OC added.
