RANGPUR: Police arrested 32 people including two Jamaat activists after conducting drive at eight Upazilas of the districts.
The drive was conducted from last night to this morning (July 17).
Police told that 30 more fugitive people accused of arrest warrant and charge sheeted of several cases were caught during the drive. They were charged against sabotage, theft, robbery, anti-terrorist and other several cases.
Pirgachha Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Aminul Islam and Taraganj Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Latif Sarkar informed banglanews that two Jamaat activists were arrested in sabotage and attack cases.
Rangpur Senior Assistant Police Super (ASP-B circle) Saifur Rahman told banglanews that all the arrestees were warranted accused of court.
They were sent to the Rangpur jail through the court.
