DHAKA: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir termed party senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman’s punishment for money embezzlement as vindictive action of the incumbent government.
Mirza Fakhrul expressed the agitation in a statement signed by BNP assistant officer secretary Asadul Karim Shahin on Thursday (July 21).
The ruling AL-led government used Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to fulfill their will for punishing the BNP senior vice-chairman in money embezzlement case, he alleged.
