SATKHIRA: Police arrested 64 people including 14 activists of Jammat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir in several cases in the district.

The arrest drive was conducted from Saturday night to Sunday morning (July 31).

Satkhira district police information officer and also sub-inspector (SI) Kamal Hossain informed banglanews that among the arrestees, 14 were Jamaat-Shibir activists in a sabotage case while 50 others in regular cases.

The arrestees were sent to the jail by the court this morning, he added.
