2 Jamaat men among 39 held in Rangpur

RANGPUR: Police, in an overnight drive, detained 39 people, including two activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, from eight upazilas of the district early Tuesday (August 23).

Rangpur senior assistant police superintendent M Saifur Rahman (ASP B-Circle) confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He further said names of all the detainees were on warrant lists.

They were accused in sabotage, robbery and terrorist cases, he added.
