RANGPUR: Jatiya Party (JP) chairman HM Ershad will start his election campaigns after visiting the shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal (R) in Sylhet on October 1.
He said free and fair elections will help JP form government.
The former president made the assertion while talking to journalists at his Rangpur residence ‘Palli Nibash’ on Sunday (September 11).
He is staying in Rangpur on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
Rural development and cooperatives state minister Mashiur Rahaman Ranga, JP co-chairman GM Quader, Rangpur metropolitan unit convener Mustafizur Rahman and Rangpur district unit convener Mofazzal Hossain Master, among others, were present at the meeting.
