RANGPUR: Police arrested 58 people including two warranted Jamaat-e-Islami activists from several upazilas of the district.
The drives were conducted from Friday night (September 16) to Saturday morning (September 17).
Rangpur additional superintendent of police (ASP) Abdullah Al Faruque confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
He said the arrestees were charge-sheeted in several cases including sabotage, robbery and creating violence.
They were sent to jail through court in the morning, the ASP added.
