DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina asked the AL party leaders to find out the problem of the country people and informed those to the government.
The premier came up with the assertion while speaking at the first meeting of the newly elected presidium committee members of ruling Awami League (AL).
The meeting was held at PM’s official residence Ganabhaban in city on Friday evening (October 28) where reelected party president Hasina chaired.
All but the presidium committee member Syed Ashraful Islam, who is in London for family reason, attended the meeting.
Highlighting the objectives of AL, the premier said the party should be strong in lieu of developing the country and people from all walks of life should cooperate implementing the goals.
However, it was first party meeting after the recently held 20th AL council.
On the last day of the 2-day council, names of 16 members of a 19-member presidium committee were announced including president and general secretary. Names of the remaining three members will be announced at the upcoming meeting.
