DINAJPUR: Police arrested central member and district unit cultural secretary of Islami Chhatra Shibir from Sadar upazila of the district early Saturday (October 29).

The detainee was identified as Omar Faruk, son of one Abdur Rahman hailed from Zanzira area of the upazila.

Dinajpur Kotwali Thana officer-in-charge Redowanur Rahman said there were a number of cases filed against Faruk and he would be sent to court.
