DHAKA: Former president and Jatiya Party chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad denounced US president Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Ershad came up with this stance in a protest rally in front of Jatiya Party's central office on Tuesday (Dec 12).
He said, “We don’t accept Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. We don’t support it at all.”
The protest rally, began from Central Office of Kakrail and ended in Fishers Building area of the city, was organized by Sammilita Jatiya Jote.
In the rally, Jatiya Party's Co-Chairman GM Quader, Presidium member MM Sattar, Kazi Firoz Rashid MP and Professor Delwar Hossain Khan were present.
Recently US president Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital that sparked a worldwide condemnation.
