SAVAR (DHAKA): Rivals allegedly stabbed a local leader of Jubo League to death in Birulia union of Savar.

Jahangir, the deceased, was the general secretary of Birulia union ward-9 unit Jubo League.

One Faruq Hossain was injured in the same incident. 

Relatives of the deceased said that one Apu from the same area, with his men, hacked Jahangir on Thursday night (January 25), following previous enmity.

Jahangir was rushed to Enam Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Friday morning (January 26).

Savar Model Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Ibne Farad said that the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), for autopsy. 

A case will be filed over the incident, added the SI.
