Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi tests coronavirus positive 

DHAKA: Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Wednesday (June 17).

The minister will take admission in Evercare Hospital (former Apollo Hospitals) in the capital for treatment, said Public relations officer of the ministry Abdul Latif Bakshi.

Confirming the coronavirus positive, Tipu Munshi himself informed that he is doing well and he will take admission in hospital today, Latif Bakshi said. 

The minister sought blessings from all for recovery, he added.  

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque and Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing, who have been diagnosed with coronavirus tested earlier, are undergoing treatment still battling infections.

Meanwhile, State Minister for Religious Affairs Sheikh Md Abdullah died from Covid-19 on Saturday.
