DHAKA: Former Member of Parliament of BNP in Sirajganj-6 (Shahjadpur) constituency Kamruddin Ahia Khan Majlish (Sarwar) died of cardiac arrest at a city hospital early Monday. 

He was 66.

Kamruddin Ahia Khan, who was a member of the party's central executive committee, breathed his last at 2:30 am while undergoing treatment at Dhanmondi’s Medinova Hospital in Dhaka.

His brother Ziauddin Ahia Khan confirmed the information to banglanews. 

Kamruddin will be buried at their family graveyard at Dargahpara of Shahjadpur in Sirajganj after Asr prayers following janaza, he said. 

Kamruddin Ahia Khan left his wife, two sons and a host of well wishers to mourn his death.
