Sahara Khatun laid to rest at Banani graveyard

DHAKA: Former home minister and a presidium member of Awami League Advocate Sahara Khatun, who died at a hospital in Thailand on Thursday night, has been laid to eternal rest at the capital's Banani graveyard today (July 11). 

Earlier at 11:05 am, her 2nd Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Banani mosque premises abiding by health guidelines.

Sahara Khatun was buried at her mother’s grave at the graveyard.

Earlier, her body was brought back home on a special flight of US-Bangla Airlines from Bangkok of Thailand at 1:56 am on Saturday.

She passed away at a hospital in Bangkok on Thursday night at the age of 77.
