Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bowl Wednesday in the first Twenty20 international against New Zealand at McLean Park.
Mitchell Santner will lead the New Zealand team in the absence of Kane Williamson who is resting. Tim Southee returns to the New Zealand lineup after missing the recent one-day international series against Bangladesh which New Zealand won 2-1.
Rony Talukdar comes into the Bangladesh team after also missing the one-dayers.
Wednesday’s match is the start of both team’s preparations for next year’s T20 World Cup in the United States and West Indies.
