Jos Buttler hit a century in his 100th Indian Premier League match to steer Rajasthan Royals to victory against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Buttler brought up his ton from 58 balls to make it four wins from four for the Royals this season.

Kohli had set the Royals a target of 184 after stroking 113 from 72 balls in Jaipur.

The 35-year-old's ton came from 67 balls and was the joint-slowest in IPL history in terms of balls faced.

But Buttler's partnership with captain Sanju Samson swung the match in the Royals' favour, with the pair putting up 148 runs before Samson was caught by Yash Dayal.

The Royals wobbled, sliding from 148-1 to 164-4, but Buttler kept his calm to finish with a century.

Kohli, who had previously averaged just 22 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in his IPL career, had brought up his half-century by hitting Yuzvendra Chahal for six in the 10th over.

He survived a scare in the 16th over when he nicked Chahal's delivery but he was dropped by Nandre Burger at point.

Kohli's century, which included four sixes and nine fours, was completed with less than two overs remaining and it was his eighth IPL ton of his career - he is two clear of both Chris Gayle and Buttler in the all-time standings.
