Yash Dayal’s three wickets ensured that Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat the Delhi Capitals by 47 runs on Sunday at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Though skipper on the night Axar Patel fought hard wasn’t enough for the visitors to get over the line.
In addition to a half-century from Rajat Patidar, a couple of cameos from Cameron Green and Will Jacks ensured that RCB made 187/9 in the first innings after DC skipper Axar Patel won the toss and opted to bowl first against Faf du Plessis’.
With the win, RCB has gone to fifth place with 12 points and a positive run rate of 0.387 and Delhi Capitals slipped to sixth with a negative run rate of 0.482.
