Hosts and defending champions Bangladesh will take on Thailand while Nepal will face Kenya in the semifinals of the ongoing 4th Bangabandhu Cup 2024 International Kabaddi Tournament today at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur.
The three-time champions Bangladesh earlier emerged the Group A toppers with an all win record while Nepal ended at second and in the six-team Group B, Kenya became the table toppers while Thailand finished at second.
“Thailand are the tough opponents, but Bangladesh previously achieved the glory of being the champions in the three editions and the trend will continue this time,” said Bangladesh coach Subimal Chandra Das.
“Tomorrow (Sunday) is a big day for us as we will be playing against the defending champions. We finished third last time and this time we will look at the situation. Bangladesh are good enough in their home. They played well so it's a big day for us,” said Thailand manager Ravindra Shetty
