Bangladesh Women’s cricket team made history with their biggest-ever win, defeating Thailand by 178 runs in the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.

The match was held in Lahore on Thursday (April 10). 

Thailand won the toss and sent Bangladesh to bat first. The Tigresses posted a massive total of 271 for 3 in 50 overs.

Nigar Sultana Joty led the charge with the fastest century in Bangladesh women’s ODI history, following a record third-wicket stand with Sharmin Akhter. Their partnership also helped set a new team record for the highest total.

In reply, Thailand were all out for just 93 runs, falling far short of the target.

This victory marks Bangladesh’s largest margin of win in terms of runs in their history.
