DHAKA: Bangladesh reached Final of Bangabandhu Gold Cup tournament beating Thailand by 1-0 goal in the semi-final on Friday.

Bangladesh will face Malaysia in a race to be the champion of the tournament at same venue Bangabandhu National Stadium on February 8.

Nasir Chowdhury netted the ball from a corner at the 38th minute of the game. Both sides scored no more goals in the match, which kicked off at 5:00pm.

With this match, both sides have faced each other for 15 times so far. Of which, Thailand won 9 matches while Bangladesh gained victory three times.

Earlier, Malaysia confirmed the final of the tournament by narrowly beating its neighboring Singapore by 1-0 goal at the Sylhet District Stadium on Thursday. The host will play Malaysia on Sunday at Friday’s venue.
