South Africa to support Pakistan flood victims

Johannesburg: Cricket South Africa and the Pakistan Cricket Board have agreed to play an additional Twenty20 International match at the start of the Proteas` tour to the United Arab Emirates to raise funds for the victims of the floods disaster in Pakistan.

This will be the first match of the tour which now consists of two Twenty20 Internationals, five One-Day Internationals and two Test matches. The tour will be split between the two neutral venues of Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

"This has been a dreadful tragedy and our hearts go out to the people of Pakistan," commented CSA CEO Gerald Majola. "Social responsibility plays an important role in the brotherhood of sport that brings nations together from across the world. This is only a small contribution but we hope it will play some part in alleviating the suffering of the Pakistani people."
