DHAKA: Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan Papan on Friday said after several weeks’ depression the sun started shining on Bangladesh cricket environment.

The BCB boss returned from the Board Meeting of International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday.

He said that Zimbabwe cricket team is set to tour Bangladesh in the first week of November to play One Day and T-20 series.

He further said Australia expressed their sadness for postponing the scheduled visit to Bangladesh over “security concerns”.

“They, however, said about touring Bangladesh in 2017 as they have busy schedule in 2016,” he added.

The BCB president made the disclosure while talking to media at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in city on Friday.

He also said the ICC Board appreciated the development of Bangladesh Cricket Team in recent days.

Bangladesh also has showed interest to organize the next Asia Cup.

“However, the ICC is yet to respond about it,” he added.

He also said the Under-19 World Cup will be held in Bangladesh in 2016. As per rule, ICC representatives will visit Bangladesh in November.
