DHAKA: South Africa still need a further 468 runs to win the match and register their first win of the series against India on Day Four of the fourth Test at Delhi on Sunday.

Protean opener Dean Elgar fell just before lunch for four off the bowling of Ravichandran Ashwin after India declared their innings at 267 for five. 

Ajinkya Rahane scored his sixth century of his career and his second of the match to help India set up a huge target.

Rahane became the fifth Indian player after Vijay Hazare, Sunil Gavaskar, Virat Kohli and Rahul Dravid to score twin centuries in a match.

Following up on his magnificent 127 off 304 balls in the first innings, which was his fifth century and first in India, Rahane smashed another century to stamp his class in testing conditions.

He scored his sixth century off 206 balls, with eight boundaries and three sixes. In the process, he registered some records in the process.

India with Rahane century and a half-century by Ravichandran Ashwin scored 334 in their first innings.

They secured a 213-run lead as they bowled South Africa out for just 121.

Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav begged four wickets each while RA Jadeja picked three wickets and R Ashwin took one wickets.
