DHAKA: Bangladesh set South Africa 241-run target in the first ODI Match of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Chittagong on Wednesday (January 27).

Nazmul Hossain Shanto scored 73 runs off 82 balls in the Group A match that started at 9:00am at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

Alongside Shanto’s fifty, Pinak Ghosh’s 43 and Joyraz Sheik’s 46 runs helped Bangladesh to score 240 runs target for the junior proteans.    

South Africa bowler WA Mulder bagged three wickets. 

Earlier, host Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat.
