DHAKA: The disciplinary committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) decided to impose a six-month ban on batsman Sabbir Rahman from playing international cricket for his alleged misconduct on Facebook.
The decision was taken at meeting of the disciplinary committee meeting held at the BCB headquarters in city’s Mirpur on Saturday (September 1).
The decision awaits approval from BCB’s president Nazmul Hassan Papon.
The ban will be effective on Sunday (September 2) upon his approval.
26-year-old right-hand batsman was found guilty of scolding a fan on Facebook.
