Bangladesh girls beat Nepal by 2-1 goals to emerge as Group A champion in SAFF Under-18 Women’s Football Championship.

The second match of Group A started around 7:00pm at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu on Tuesday (Oct 2).

Bangladesh’s Sirat Jahan Shopna and Srimati Krishna Rani posted 2 goals while Reshmi Kumari of Nepal posted one goal.

Earlier in the first match of Group A, Bangladesh blew away Pakistan by 17-0 goals. On the other hand, Nepal beat Pakistan by 12-0 goals in its first match. Bangladesh needed to draw this match to become group champion. Nevertheless, the red green jersey holders performed much better than expected.
