DHAKA: Bangladesh have won the three-match ODI series beating West Indies by eight wickets in their last match in Sylhet on Friday (December 14).
Tigers lost only two wickets to score 202 runs in 38.3 overs at Sylhet International Stadium.
Tamim scored 81 runs and Soumya scored 80, making a brilliant partnership.
On the other hand, the Caribbean lost nine wickets to score 198 runs in stipulated 50 overs.
Shai Hope secured highest score (108 off 131) for the team while second highest scorer was MN Samuels with 19 runs off 32 balls.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz took four wickets for 29 runs while Shakib Al Hasan and Mashrafe Mortaza picked up two wickets each and Mohammad Saifuddin took another.
Earlier, Bangladesh team has won the toss and chose to field first.
Mashrafe is also leading tiger for the 70th time in ODIs, thrashing Habibul Bashar's record as captain in 69 ODIs.
