DHAKA: Rajshahi Kings have beaten Rangpur Riders by 5 runs in their fourth encounter in the sixth edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) in Mirpur on Sunday (Jan 13).
Kings have set a 136-run target for the Riders with loss of 8 wickets at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium
For Riders, Farhad Reza and Mashrafe Mortaza bagged two wickets each while Shafiul Islam and Sohag Gazi picked up one wicket each.
In reply, Rangpur Riders lost six wickets to score only 130 runs in their stipulated 20 overs.
Rangpur Riders captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza won the toss and decided to bowl first against Rajshahi Kings.
Riders won two of their previous four matches, and but they lost to Chittagong Vikings and Dhaka Dynamites while Rajshahi Kings registered only a win beating Khulna Titans in their three previous matches.
