Tigers leave for Ireland series, World Cup

DHAKA: Bangladesh National Cricket Team left here for Ireland to play a tri-series that will help them get preparation for the ICC cricket World Cup slated to begin May 30 in England and Wales.

Tigers, under the leadership of Mashrafe Bid Mortaza, left Dhaka around 10:30am on Wednesday (May 1) to play the tri-series, scheduled to begin on May 5.

All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan along with the members of his family is expected to leave Dhaka for Ireland on Wednesday night. 

Bangladesh will play first match of the World Cup against the West Indies on May 7. Prior to that, Bangladesh will play a warm-up match against Ireland 'A' team.
