DHAKA: The final match of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football season 2018-19 between Bashundhara Kings and Chittagong Abahani ties.

The finalists took the match to 1-1. 

The match, played on Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday (August 3), was also interrupted by rain.

Kings' Marcos Vinícius da Costa Soares da Silva scored a goal on seventh minute of the match.

Daniel Nii Armah Tagoe balanced the score by penetrating the Kings' net in a penalty shot at 45th minute.

The Kings clinched the title by bringing the match against Mohammedan Sporting Club to a draw (1-1) at Sheikh Kamal Stadium in Nilphamari on July 25.

It was Bashundhara Kings' first appearance in BPL. 

However, Bashundhara Kings Captain Daniel Colindres and Coach Oscar Bruzon were awarded best player and best coach of the league.
