DHAKA: Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) announced a 23-men squad to play against Afghanistan in the first match of 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

The team will leave for Tajikistan on September 1. 

They will play warm-up matches with two clubs of Tajikistan-- FC Kuktosh and CSKA Pamir Dushanbe on September 3rd and 5th respectively.

On September 10, Bangladesh will lock horns with Afghanistan. 

Bangladesh squad

Goalkeeper: Ashraful Islam Rana, Shahidul Islam Sohel, Anisur Rahman Jiko.

Defence: Tutul Hossain Badsha, Shushanta Tripura, Rahmat Mia, Easin Khan, Bishwanath Ghosh, Riyadul Hasan Rafi and Yeasin Arafat. 

Midfield: Masuk Miah Zoni, Jamal Bhuiyan (capt), Mamunul Islam Mamun, Sohel Rana, Mohammad Rabiul Hasan, Biplo Ahamed, Mohammad Arifur Rahman and Mohammad Ibrahim

Forward: Mohammad Nabib Newaz Ziban, Mohibur Rahman Sufil, Motin Miah, Saad Uddin and Jewel Rana.
