DHAKA: Afghanistan clinched an epic victory beating Bangladesh by 224 runs in the one-off Test match in Chattogram on Monday (September 9).
Rashid Khan's 5-fer helped gain a lead close to 140 and that sealed the match on day-5 of the match.
The Afghanistan skipper took three of the four wickets to fall, as they won the one-off Test by 224 runs.
Rahmat Shah and skipper Rashid have produced a commanding performance in the first innings while Ibrahim Zadran and Afsar Zazai did the honours in the second innings.
Ibrahim Zadran and Asghar Afghan hit half-centuries while Rashid Khan played a quick cameo after claiming five wickets in an innings.
After taking Taijul's wicket, Rashid was made the first cricketer to take a 10-wicket haul and score a fifty on his captaincy debut.
Winning the toss paved half the way for a win and they made use of that advantage Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
