DHAKA: In the fifth and final match of the series, the Bangladesh Under-19 achieved a big win against New Zealand youths at the Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln Sunday (Oct 13).
As a result, team of Akbar-Shariful is returning to the country with the joy of winning the series 4-1.
The match started at 11:00 AM local time (4 AM Bangladesh time) (10:00 PM GMT).
Winning the toss, Bangladesh youths scored 316 runs losing eight wickets. In reply, Kiwi youths bundled out scoring 243 runs. Bangladesh U-9 won by 73 runs.
Bangladesh openers Tanzid Hasan and Parvez Hossain Emon stitched up 120-run partnership. Tanzid added 59-ball 71 runs with 11 boundaries and two sixes.
Parvez Hossain Emon has scored 55-ball 48 runs with 8 boundaries.
New Zealand U19 won one against the visiting Bangladesh U19 in the fourth of the five-match One-Day series.
