DHAKA: Bangladesh Cricket Board officials are scheduled to sit with the cricketers at the BCB office on Wednesday (Oct 23) afternoon to resolve the problem, protesting on 11-point demand.

They told reporters that they were waiting for the cricketers. However, keeping the BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon sat down at his office, cricketers suddenly called a press conference in Gulshan in the evening.

Jalal Yunus, the head of the media committee of BCB, told reporters, "The president has had a meeting with the Prime Minister. However, it is not known whether any of representatives of protesting cricketers had there.

“But we are waiting for the players. If they don't come in at 5pm then we are ready to talk” he added. '

Shortly after the announcement of Jalal Yunus, the agitating cricketers had called a press conference at a hotel in Gulshan at 6pm.

Earlier on Monday, top Bangladesh cricketers expressed their dissatisfaction with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and called strike to press their 11-point demand.

They declared that all the cricketers, including the national team and outside the team will stay away from all forms of cricket until these demands are met.

Earlier on Tuesday (Oct 22) after an emergency board meeting, BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon apprehended conspiracy behind the sudden 11-point strike of Bangladeshi cricketers.

He believes that all this is being done to ruin the country's cricket. The secret of the conspiracy will be revealed, the BCB president said while talking to reporters.
