Cool and composed Team Tigers  clinically out played and out gunned Team India crushing them to a humiliating 7 wickets defeat in the historic 1000th  T20 international at smoky and smoggy Arun  Jetli stadium of Indian Capital New Delhi. Bangladesh playing without their Captain and ace all rounder Shakib Al Hasan , top batsman Tamim Iqbal  and emerging all rounder Saifuddin rocked the cricket world with a  resounding win against strong India . It was a brilliant team effort and wonderful blend of aggressive but well planned cricket adventure. A bunch of quality young players laed from the front by two senior professionals Mushfiqur Rahim shocked and awed team India . The debutants Naim Sheikh and Rookie Aminul played their part and effervescent Soumya Sharkar also played his part . Right from the word go whether in bowling , batting or fielding Bangladesh looked like roaring tigers . The win made tigers roar and entire Bangladesh community erupted like a volcano as Mushfique blasted a carshing six off the 3rd ball of the last over the match. Scoring unbeaten 60 off only 43 overs Mushfique was player of the series. With two matches to play on 7 and 10th November Bangladesh can now realistically dream for winning the first ever T20 series against India . What a wonderful gift it would be for the Bangladeshi nation confounded with some shocking developments in cricket off late..

The recent excessive fireworks during holy festival created huge smoke making visibility very poor in Indian capital . Till late in the day it kept the fate of the match hanging in the balance . Luckily for the millions of cricket admirers all over the globe atmosphere cleared considerably as time ticked closed towards the beginning. Bangladesh launched its historic first full series against India in India with a memorable win . It was first T20 win by Bangladesh against India .Incidentally it was milestone  1000th T20 international.For ICC banning tiger captain Shakib Al Hasan many thought Bangladesh may not even create contest  against strong India . But a determined Bangladesh eager for the kill displayed wonderful brand of aggressive cricket . Team India were taken for surprise by the fleet footed tigers hungry for the prey. From the moment Mahmudullah Riad won the toss and elected to field Bangladesh was in top gear. Experienced Shafiul made early inroads trapping prolific Rohit Sharma plumb in front for 9. India did not recover from the early shock. Al Amin looked miserly accurate . Young Aminul puzzled Indian batsmen with his subtle turn and bounce. His flight also bemused and teased Indian batsmen. Even Afif bowled tight. None but Shekhar Dhawan (41) could bat with any amount of confidence . Suresh Iyer (22)  and Rishab Pant (27)  stayed at the wicket for a while but could not do much damage. Aminul took 2/22 and Shafiul grabbed 2/36) . India could master 148/6 .

Bangladesh appeared supremely confident , cool and composed in their response. Liton went back early . But teenager tall left handed Mohammad Naim on his debut looked supremely confident. His unnerved 26 and his 46 runs second wicket partnership with determined Soumya Sarkar set the tone of the match. Naim scored 26 . Soumya put on match winning 60 runs third wicket partnership with Mushfique taking the match away from India’s grasp. Soumya scored invaluable 39 in 35 deliveries . Top dogs Mushfique and Mahmudullah ( two M’s) boated Bangladesh to the shore with an unbroken 40 runs 4th wicket partnership winning big the historic match by 7 wickets. The roar of team tigers were hared all over the cricket world.

Looking back in retrospect it must be said that this was the most fulfilling T20 win by Bangladesh ever in its blooming cricket history .It was a milestone match . All types of negative developments in the recent past created dark low hanging clouds over Bangladesh cricket. Bangladesh could not field its strongest unit without Shakib, Tamim and Saifuddin. It was a blend of youth and few war hardened veterans and they delivered. Undoubtedly the better team of the evening won . Mighty India got shocked and rocked. It was a seen to believe fairy tale win , a matter of joy for Bangladeshis. 11 brave Bangladeshis won the heart of cricket loving millions.
