SRH winning the crucial match of the bottom two by 7 runs against CSK kept their hopes of entering business session of IPL 2020 alive. Batting first they managed a moderate score of 164/5 in allotted overs. Then bowling tight and fielding sharp restricted CSK to 157/5 weathering a last stage surge spearheaded by MSD. 

Had it been a fully fit a year younger MSD he could have carried CSK across the hope display his wonderful brand of helicopter strokes or a bit more. But the old fox appeared to have lost his verve a bit. Still monumental efforts of Mahi took CSK within 7 runs to hijacking a win over Sun Risers Hyderabad. Winning the match SRH remained in the race. The mission 2020 of CSK appears almost over. 

The wicket at DCS was slow. It was hot and dry at Dubai. The ball was not coming at the bat well. Off the top four of SRH Bairstow and Williamson failed delivering. Warner also could not kick on after slow start. Pandey also could not convert his start to something substantial. However, Priyam Garg rose to the occasion scoring unbeaten 51 of 26 deliveries. His 77 runs 5th wicket partnership with Abhishek Sharma (31) led SRH post a challenging total of 164/5.

CSK was undone by quality SRH bowling. Kumar was deadly accurate at the start giving away only 20 runs in his 4 overs. Spin magician Rashid Khan bowled misery spell of 4 overs giving away only 12. Two masters Jadeja and MSD kept the candle of hope burning. Jadeja scored 50. MSD was there till the last over but was hobbling a bit. May be years have gone down the lane.
