Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib al Hasan left for India on Saturday to join the Indian Premier League, said officials on Saturday.

Shakib is expected to join his Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team mates in Chennai and start his seven-day quarantine from then onwards.

He left for Kolkata at 9:45 through US Bangla flight,’ said an official.

Shakib was initially scheduled to leave for India on March 28 but changed his plan at the last minute.
